Wossum Ranch

Wossum Ranch is a beautiful neighborhood located northeast of Weatherford between the east side Ric Williamson Loop and Azle Highway (FM-730). It is in Weatherford ISD (Mary Martin Elementary and Tison Junior High). Rolling topography, abundant oak trees, concrete roads, a private setting yet convenient location make Wossum Ranch a favorite neighborhood! Wossum Ranch Testimonial: During the height of Pandemic 2020 in the summer months, we frequently drove around the Westoplex viewing random properties and generally soaking up the area vibe while passing time. One day after a long grind of aimless wandering, thunderstorms were developing out West that could be seen for many miles away as is a familiar backdrop of Mother Nature in the Westoplex, almost like an old friend… ALMOST…The sun was setting as the lightning became frequent and the rain began to fall. Barreling down a rural backroad just trying to make our way back to Fort Worth, we spotted a few rain-soaked homes with cozy lights glowing from within. A nice and clean neighborhood with concrete paths, we decided to turn down the street to explore – even though we could barely see anything at all in the dark. As we drove through the streets, we just felt like we were home, and our curiosity grew. The following day we came back to see it in the light. That’s when we met Joel Taylor of Castlemont Homes who warmly welcomed us into one of their freshly completed spec builds. Nothing beats that new home smell! After speaking with Joel about what Castlemont had to offer some regular folks like us. We knew this was going to be our new home and the excitement grew. Sometimes you just know. Throughout the build process we’ve explored the area even more to immerse ourselves in the local culture and small businesses. We never thought we’d be able to build a custom home on a spacious lot with privacy and quiet nature in our own backyard. Not to mention one of the easiest and most straightforward selling experiences of our previous home, thanks to Joel. There hasn’t been a single moment through this journey that I doubted Castlemont had our best interests at heart. If something is wrong, they’ll make it right. That’s what sets them apart from other builders. That’s the key to their continued success.
