The Castlemont Process

Step One: Identify the community that best meets your needs! We build both in the neighborhoods developed by Westoplex Development Group, but also in any other communities found around our area. Once the community is determined we can begin the process of identifying the home plan that is perfect for that location.

Step Two: Review your desires for the architectural style, size, overall budget, and other details that will help us guide you toward the best solution for getting the perfect home plan for your unique desires and preferences. We maintain access to a massive library of over 5,000 house plans that can be bought as is or customized to better meet your needs.  We can also refer you to a designer who can start from scratch should a completely custom house plan be a better option in meeting your desires.  Once a plan is in hand, we are ready to go to the next step!

Step Three: Preliminary Pricing can be identified based on general conversations about the types of finish that you are after as well as all the possible items you may want included in your pricing such as metal workshop buildings, fencing, pools, etc.  We can be a one stop shop for all your new home desires!

Step Four: Next, we work with you to Finalize Specifications and Allowances for your new home so that a final price can be established.  At this point, once the price, specifications and allowances are approved we will sign the contract to build your beautiful new home and accept the initial deposit from you!

Step Five: Construction Financing is now ready to be completed. If you are buying an inventory home from us, we handle all the construction financing on our end so there is nothing for you to do at this point.  If you are building on your own lot, this is when we will connect you to one of our preferred lenders who can take fantastic care of you and make the construction financing step as easy as possible for you! Coming out of closing we can begin doing work on the property in preparation for your home being built.

Step Six: You’ll now have a Pre-Construction Meeting to review your selections, meet some of the individuals who will be managing your home construction project, and get a better understanding of the projected timelines your home will follow through the construction process.

Step Seven: At the proper times through the construction process, we will assist you in setting up appointments to go to design showrooms to make your selections for items such as tile, countertops, carpet, and lighting fixtures.  Since many of your selections will have already been made prior to contract this process is easy and fun!

Step Eight: At integral times during the process we will coordinate meetings with you on site to review the project, verify accuracy with you and secure your approval prior to moving to the next steps of construction. Your Frame and Mechanical Meeting will take place when the home is finished framing and dried in and will provide the opportunity to identify anything that could have been missed before the wiring and insulation are completed and the walls are sheet rocked and closed.

Step Nine: As your home nears completion, we will guide you through the Punch Out and Final Walk stage of the process. At this time, you will identify any issues that need remedy, and a complete written list will be established.  Once the final list is approved, we will schedule all of the work to be completed and then have you review the list for completion and sign off agreeing that all items are fully completed.  Once this form is signed and the home is 100% complete, we are ready to move to the final step!

Step Ten: It’s now time for Closing Day and Move In! The most exciting day of the process is this one! You’ll attend closing at a title company to sign off on all of the lender documents and all parties will sign off acknowledging completion of the home.  Upon final funding the home is now yours!
